"Make sure the ship is ready to go when I get back. I won't be long." Setekh was dressed wholly unlike his normal flamboyant style in plain black apprentice's robes with a plain saberstaff. He pulled the hood of the robe up over his head. "I want to leave as soon as I get back. Have the lieutenant check in with the officer on duty, they should be holding a new power converter for me. Get it and have the droid begin to install it."
Nuro bowed. "Yes, my lord. After...?"
"We'll talk then." Setekh's face softened and he turned to leave the ship. "Be ready for my return."
"Yes, my lord." The twi'lek smiled and turned back to his datapad, his lekku draped across his shoulders and over the chair.
Even the air felt different on Dromund Kaas. The dark side had always been strong here, and even as a child he felt it, but now the storms hido something else, something familiar. Very familiar. Arannek wasn't trying to hide. It put Setekh on edge. He remembered clearly every moment with Arannek at the end. He remembered the lightsaber he buried in Arannek's chest. It had, until weeks prior, belonged to his uncle.
His uncle had been growing old, growing soft in his old age, but Setekh still felt a chill as he mounted a speeder and headed into the jungle from the spaceport. Arannek had defied Setekh and defied death once before. If he was back now, it could only be for revenge. Setekh would take no chances. He would kill the apprentices, destroy their work, and be back in his ship and on his way to the Outer Rim before anyone knew he was there.
As he slipped from his speeder outside Kaas City, he quietly slipped from view.
